600 grit to 2000? That's a huge jump. You'd probably get better results going from 600 to 1200 to 2000, or even more gradations like 600 -> 800 -> 1000 -> 1500 -> 2000, then some regular car polish. In any event, thanks for the video, I was wondering what the lower end of grits I could use without totally messing up my headlights, and 400 seems way more coarse than I think I'll ever need.

That’s the idea. If you make the surface perfect it doesn’t adhere as well and can peel in a year. After trying different methods. This 600 to 2000 jump solved that problem.

Used seafoam on my E60, beforehand the cylinders looked a teensy bit dirty, I could see some build up, then during use I could hear what sounded like rocks in the engine, ran it for a lil while longer, cleared everything outta the system, checked inside with a boroscope, and each cylinder was sparkling clean, I was worried about my valves after the carbon being chucked around but they appeared to be fine and 30,000 miles later still work, soo woo!

So the end of the video where he puts the drum on and says it's properly adjusted is absolutely wrong those brakes are way too high and all you will do is heat glaze and walk those drums out in the heartbeat, the proper adjustment is to back the star adjuster out until you can easily slide on the drum once the drum is on that's where you do your adjustment your adjustment should be where the wheel is able to turn freely but yet you can hear it ever so slightly touching the drum this will help the brakes break into the drum properly without getting heated up. Chris you're all right but you ain't that good my man. This advice comes from a 35-year-old Master mechanic who owns his own restoration shop and when it comes to brakes I am extremely anal and I do it right the first time. So the only thing I seen wrong with your video was the adjustment for the brakes at the end and not putting any type of grease on your star adjuster threads before installing or on the contact points on the backing plate otherwise it was a great video

So I've gone out any bought everything, including the spot clean pro! I just wanted to ask in what order would you go for giving the car and entire clean, from in to out and wheels engine etc. I'd be very Greatful if you can let me know what order to tackle everything... 🙏🏽 Thanks and keep up the great work. CHRISFIX DOES SOME REALLY GOOD VIDEOS BUT NEVER EVER LEAVE THOSE CONTACT POINTS WITHOUT ANY GREASE AND ALWAYS USE PERMATEX HIGH TEMPERATURE BRAKE CERAMIC GREASE. IT IS LESS LIKELY TO COLLECT DIRT AND LAST FOREVER BUT THEY SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT THERE BECAUSE THEY WILL FORM MORE RUST AND CREATE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR BRAKES BACKING OFF THE DRUMS. I CAN'T STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS

I love me some Chris Fix but noticed something worth pointing out that I believe is wrong, or, I could be wrong. Each can is 12 fluid ounces which is a volume unit not a weight unit. Each can, however, says 340g which is a weight unit. Chris Fix was using using fluid ounces (fl oz.) as weight oz which is not the same. I'm not a Auto Technician, but I am an engineer and this seems wrong to me. What do yall think?

A quick question to Chris: Which TYPE of suspension is the best recommended for a car, if one's most important requirement is: "achieving the smoothest and most comfort ride possible", i.e. ironing out as much as possible all bumps cracks and other road imperfections (even at the price of ignoring potential long-term reliability and longevity) ?
