Stop it. Thats nonsense. Did you say the same about Keiino last time when they won? They told the story of how eàch of them have struggled..Tom being gay, Fred being sami and Alexandra for not fitting the pop mold. Tix didnt even expect to win and it wasnt important to him. He betted a lot of money on Keiino to win and was prepaired to cheer them on in Europe. He wanted to take part in MGP cause he had a song with a good message and he wanted to share it with the Norwegian people. Im fed up by people claiming his win was just for symphaty (and I voted Keiino). Accept that people connected more with his song, and its an addictive song with a beautiful melody. Keiino needed to do something extra special to win again and they didnt seem to care about staging at all. It was the same dark, bland show like last time in MGP. There is a reason Tix says he makes music for people and not the music critics, and its also a reason why he is Norways most streamed artist with hit after hiit. People love his songs... and he must do something right. Btw, you are wrong when you say its a singing competition. Its not (we have The voice for that). Its about not being able to be with the one you love because of mental issues, and the feeling of not being good enough. You want your inner demons to release you from the pain they are causing you. He is chained to those demons and cant get away from them (as you can see from the staging).He realize that he have to let the one he loves go because he doesnt want to drag her down in the darkness with him. The song is autobiographical/personal. Tix has said this about the song/staging: Imagine falling in love with the most beautiful angel you've ever seen, but then you can not fly with her because you have all this darkness/demons that keeps you down and holds you tight. That's the theme of my stage show. The reason he is wearing a big coat, bandana and sunglasses is because its part of his character TIX (and he has Touretts syndrom, so its also to hide his tics, so he dont have to worry about the tics in his eyes f.ex when he sings). Of course he sings live.. Pre-recorded backing vocals is allowed in Eurovision (for everyone) this year because of uncertainty due to covid, so other voices you hear is backing vocals as every participant use. Main vocal is of course live. From time to time you hear sounds like «falling» (itsan echo effect)

Mental health is a huge problem for many people, and actually 50% of people in this world will experience mental issues through their lifetime.
