@narendar ricardo arevalo archundia he does have a point if you look at the military: We aren’t spending the 2% of our gdp in the military, as far as Military goes we are in an alltime low. If war would happen right now europe wouldn’t be able to respond if left alone. From a military standpoint we‘re entirely dependent on the US and the Nato coalition.

from tim hennemann: Love the ending about, different opinions: "you're not our enemy, you just have a different opinion. Let's have a fact based! discussion about it" This is thé way to solve problems, fact based discussions. Unfortunately this doesn't happen that frequently anymore the political minefield of so called " post-truth politics". Could you guys maybe make a video about post-truth politics? I'm a bit late with responding, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway😶😂 thank you in advance ...

As an outsider, the EU looks a lot like a European attempt to replicate the geo-political structure of the USA, but there's a lot more history and baggage to work around so there were a lot of changes needed. The goals are similar, the broad strokes are similar. But, like the USA, the structure basically serves at the whims of big business; look no further than Article 13 for the proof in that pudding. But because there's even less of a collective common identity in the EU and because the politics are even more opaque, the public defense against bone-headed things like 13 are weaker than in the US. I think the EU is a good thing in concept, but the execution needs some improvement. I fear earning those improvements will be costly.

The EU is kind of like India. Before Britain came into power, India was made up of many different warring nation states that spoke different languages and had different cultures, similar to Europe (even if you go to India today, you can see that different languages, foods, and cultures are followed in each state). Uniting all of the states under a common Indian national identity has contributed to a lot more peace and economic development, just as it has done for Europe. Edit: I’m not saying the British united India. It was the founding fathers of India, like Vallabhbhai Patel and Gandhiji who united all of the nation states.

Everyone hates the European Union. The uk and Romania are completely different countries, an MEP from Romania needs to represent the Romanian people it represents and a UK MEP needs to do the same thing for the UK people it represents, how are they supposed to work with each other when the UK and Romania are completely different cultures, countries and races which have different wants and needs. Now, the end of this video is quite interesting. When Yugoslavia was still a country, back in the 1980s, we had similar saying: united we are strong, divided, they can break us one by one. And so that is exactly what happened. Some of the Yugoslav republics asked for independence, which could potentially weaken Yugoslavia, and almost all of the future EU countries were supporting them. They also sent weapons and ammunition, so those countries could "defend themselves". Instead of trying to preserve a unified Yugoslavia, future EU countries were effectively working to its destruction. And today's EU says we must all unite, and that is suppose to be a good thing. But when Yugoslavia was united, they did not seem to think so, did they? To make one thing clear: Yugoslav Constitution predicted the separation of federal states from Yugoslavia, but that was a process, that seceding nations did not want to go through, but rather (with the backing of future EU countries), thy just took all the money, infrastructure, investments, denied any debt thy had, and "got away with murder".

Let's not forget that Africa is still being colonised by EU to this day and the ammount of fake media that makes middle east or other countries seem like trouble instead is just incredible. @nik nik Vote buying is dangerous I agree, and the issue of weak implementation of financial monitoring looks deliberate sometimes. I just think there could have been a simultaneous effort in both directions

@nik nik Studies have shown that if EU had double checked Greece numbers before they were accepted in Eu they would never been allowed to enter as all their numbers were fake and pumped up artificially. Greece is a super corrupt state with a super efficient tax system

@nik nik Everything is relative. Compared to the Nordic countries the tax level in Greece is low (Business income and employment income are taxed at progressive rates ranging from 9% to 44% (the lowest rate applies on income not exceeding EUR 10,000, while the highest rate applies on income exceeding EUR 40,000) The problem seems not as much to be the tax level, but a huge number of citizens in Greece illigally avoid paying the amount of tax they ought too and the state has a super ineffecient tax system to collect the money and punish those who do not follow their own countries tax law.

@Mack Man Greece is a wanna be Socialist-Communist state populist leaders with HUGE TAXES, more huge than everywhere in the EU. which leads oneway to tax avoidance for some industries, and the tax money is used to provide luxury to politicians, pensions, minorities and public sector wages for their complete unproductivity and unnecessary job positions. its a communistic corruption, tax a lot the private sector, make comfort for your voters from the moneytree. Merkel and EU was toooo good for this state, they should done worse supervision and cut-offs .. really.. they didn't do enough for what it deserves, i have seen my eyes the later years people of parties enjoying lifes of luxury from the tax-money and half other trying to sell and grow an over-taxed business. is the worst form of anticapitalism

I am sure if everyone in Greece paid their fair share in taxes, and not make it almost into a sport avoiding taxes, then Greece would be a far better, financially healthier country Corruption and tax aviations kills any country

This is not an issue of facts. It is a matter of politics and opinions. And in my opinion the main point of contention is democracy itself- most people are unable to grasp important concepts and contexts necessary to make informed decisions about anything, let alone the future. Good or bad doesnt really matter- the EU will ultimately fail due to democracy inherent weaknesses. Some of which are the root causes for most if not all of the mentioned problems the EU has. Discuss.
