Same as how doctors know that you broken your arm without having to cut it open to look directly at the bone: by looking at it from the outside and measuring how things sent in change. For example with Earth how shockwaves travel through it, or how strong the gravity is in different places on the surface.

Well, the Bible makes claims, and those who makes the claims has to provide evidence that the claims are correct. But there is no such evidence for the Bible. So from that position alone what the Bible says is not to be blindly believed. Having said that, the Bible makes a lot of claims we know are wrong. For example the Bible describes a global flood. We know that didn't happen. And the Bible says a 600 year old dude built a boat. But we don't get 600 years old so that's wrong. And the Bible says that animals from all over Earth came there to survive. That also makes no sense. There is also lots of other stuff wrong in the Bible. For example we know that we evolved, we were not magically created out of mud. Or the Bible describes a flat Earth, but we know it's not flat. I mean, the list goes on and on.
