    Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell

    Trukmė: 06:21

The universe is unbelievably big - trillions of stars and even more planets. Soo… there just has to be life out there, right? But where is it? Why don’t we see any aliens? Where are they? And more importantly, what does this tell us about our own fate in this gigantic and scary universe?

there are no singularity or ringularity and some sort..to me black hole had been built by most advanced civilization to be use as an energy generator and also shield..maybe there are alien mega structures are in there with billion billion population is fit enough...that why we cant see them because they are living inside that dark region..and also the big source of energy is there...if we want to find ET life dont look for planets with habitable zone..u only find dinosaurs there..imagine we are still primitive in technology but think of colonizing space..im sure we could find ET life just look into the region with massive source of energy like black hole we will found something beyond than our expected.

Its definitely a mistake spending all that money trying to figure out space instead of spending every penny and resource figuring out ourselves and our home first. We have yet to figure out very important questions about ourselves and our true power and capabilities also we have only have explored a tiny fraction of ocean floor and we only been a few miles deep inside earth. All answers are within us our brains our consciousness and genetic codes The universe is not going anywhere but we certainly are if we don't right the ship of humanity

Since light is relatively slow on a galactic or even interstellar scale, might this also be because life already exists, however since they're located millions or even billions of light years away, we simply aren't able to see them yet? Even if they were in our galaxy and located a few thousand light years away, wouldn't that still take light thousands of years to reach Earth? That's enough time for a civilization to start, especially if you look at the case with human civilizations, so aliens might've already started a civilization but we aren't able to detect it yet.

Prieš 2 dienas

You assume astronomers are looking for "light" = wrong. While they indeed may look at the light spectrum a planet gives off so as to discern what elements might be present there - as far as evidence of other life they look for = energy signatures. So radio telescopes are monitoring the wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum for non-random energy readings outside of the background for an area. Were a civilization present in the vicinity of a star they were looking at then they should detect energy emissions in a given wavelength from that region of space much the same as our own radio and television signals radiate out into the surrounding space of our solar system.

The answer to this is simple. Consciousness. That's the mode of communication throughout the galaxy. Through higher consciousness there's no real need to travel physically to other worlds or realities. Life forms can contact each other instantly, view locations remotely, etc. This is also the answer to whether "God" exists. "God" exists beyond our current level of awareness/consciousness. "Coincidentally," there is a war on consciousness, waged by the richest and most powerful on the planet... In many ways this is a "prison" world. We're all slaves, sleepwalking through life. As "Q" remarked in Star Trek: The Next Generation, "That is the exploration that awaits you. Not mapping stars or studying nebulae. But charting the UNKNOWN possibilities of existence." And what is the "unknown?" Within our framework of understanding? No. It's becoming aware of reality in a way you could never imagine or conceive of!!

Why is it necessary to have an earth-like environment to sustain life? I mean look at the earth and you will find life thriving in extreme environments from burning hot temperature to freezing cold temperature to a high-pressure area like under the sea. So if life is sustaining in different environments on earth itself then why can't be Aliens sustain in a completely unearthly environment? There building blocks and their requirement might be completely different from us. There might be aliens who don't need oxygen and get the energy from some other way. I am still not able to comprehend why Aliens need to have an earth-like environment to sustain themselves. If anyone could help me with that would be appreciable.

Prieš 8 dienų

I agree with you. I think it is because humans are only able to rationalize how life developed based on our own history and since we have no outside sources to confirm that information it will always be a mystery. We know that we are carbon based life forms, but for all we know there could be lifeforms comprised of something entirely different than carbon which means there ability to survive in different environments would be nothing like ours.

Often progress has brought us very far as humanity but it also brought us new challenges and problems for the next Generation to solve. Imagine one day humanity reaches its limit of progress and comes to a point where new problems are simply too hard for the human mind to solve. Just like there are problems which a computer cannot solve, what if there are problems that humans cannot solve. This would mean that at some point a species simply cannot progress any further, limited by the capabilities of their own intelligence. It that case every species has a point at which their only choices are either stagnation or their demise. In this case, no other aliens have been found, simply because there never has been a species who's intelligence allowed them to progress past intergalactic or interstellar travel.

If there is just one other technological civilization in our GALAXY they'd very most likely be far more advanced than we are, given that we've only been relatively recently technological and the age of the galaxy, over 13.5 billion years, allows for those odds. Even if they'd be only 1000 years more advanced (and the odds are they'd be far more advanced than a mere thousand years, more like a million years and more) we'd be able to see them with the tools we've now had for many years, but we don't. I'd say that most technological civilizations tend to destroy themselves in a variety of ways and don't last long enough to be seen by other outcrops, in one galaxy. We'd have have look at many galaxies to find one that actually figured out how to overcome the challenge of dealing with everyone in a worldwide, rational way. We are currently going through that struggle and, in fits and starts, it doesn't look very promising so far.

400 billion stars being equal to 10,000 for every grain of sand on earth.. really???? That means there are only 40 miliion grains of sand. There are more than that on a small beach. Current estimates show 7.5 x 10^18 grains of sand, or seven quintillion, five hundred quadrillion grains.
